So You Dropped the Individual Mandate at 12:15? Now You Know You Done Messed Up Right?

There's a scene in the movie "Menace to Society" where a detective (played by the legendary Bill Duke) questions the protagonist of the film, Cain, about a deadly convenience store robbery wherein a bottle of beer has been recovered from the scene of the crime which bears Cain's fingerprints.  The detective tries to ascertain what time Cain dropped the bottle of beer at the store because, depending upon the time that the bottle was dropped, Cain was either at the store during the robbery or he wasn't.  Initially, Cain admits that he dropped the bottle at 11:15pm, however, after many hours of interrogation, he mistakenly admits that he dropped the bottle at 12:15pm which reveals to the detective the fact that Cain had lied about his previous claim.  The detective is more than thrilled to seize upon this discrepancy and harp on it repeatedly for the rest of the night:

Fellow politicos, I submit to you that the aforementioned scenario has recently unfolded in the media with respect to Republican Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney who, in June of 2009, bragged on Massachusetts' "Romneycare" plan - which includes an individual mandate - and then went so far as to urge President Obama to use Romneycare as the model for Obamacare:

Exhibit A:

Exhibit B:

Now let's fast-forward from June of 2009 just 3 short years later to present day in 2012:

(at the -0:55 mark)

Woman: "I need an emphatic yes from you that you will repeal Obamacare.”
Romney: “Why would I not?...I said no, from the very beginning, no this is designed for our state and our circumstance."

Now you see, Romney, now...you know you done messed up, right?  You see that, dontcha?  You know you done messed up, right?
