As I sort through the sordid news of the world's current events, it's the black music I'm listening to that helps me cope. This morning I'm revisiting Donnie's classic 2002 CD, "The Colored Section". "It's a habit to grab it, to grab it right here Cause you might want my private for souvenir And you call me a savage, uncivilized When it's you who made lynchin' your way of life And you don't want me to be mad Well I say to you too bad I‘m a product of my environment So who the hell we callin’ wildlife? Look at us They only kill when they have to We kill for sport.” (Lyrics from Wildlife)
Should be able to hear this on black radio. Wishful thinking in post racial/present negro America.
