The interview focused on questions submitted from viewers around the country-- parents, students, teachers and educators. It also touched on some of the topics brought up during Sunday night's town hall education meeting hosted by NBC's Brian Williams.
Obama noted the necessity of funding but noted the importance of reform + funding and stated that either one alone would not solve our educational problem. He also noted that parents need to play an active role in their children's education as well. The President also voiced a need for a longer school year for students.
