February Book of the Month - Game Change

Game Change: Obama and the Clintons, McCain and Palin, and the Race of a Lifetime
by
John Heilemann and Mark Halperin
(2009)
You ever wonder why Hillary didn't run for President in 2004?  Or why Obama decided to run in 2008?  Or why McCain actually picked Sarah Palin and what was going on inside the McCain-Palin camp after the cameras turned off?  If so, then this is  your book.  This is the ultimate back-stage pass which tells us exactly what was said behind closed doors away from the American public during the historic 2008 election.

Before the book was even released it already caused nation-wide controversy from Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's now infamous quote about Obama being electable because he's "light skinned" and speaks with no negro dialect unless he wants to have one, to Clinton's contested statement regarding how, back in the day, Obama would have been getting guys like him and the late Senator Ted Kennedy coffee instead of running for president.  This book also caused controversy on the Right as it contains interviews with some of the McCain camp staffers who reveal to us just how unprepared and how far in over her head Sarah Palin was during the entire campaign.
A great read.  We highly recommend it and appreciate any comments you have.

At the time of this post, copies of the book are available for around $13 bucks HERE.
