As a departure from the political musings, I gotta ask a big "WTF????" on this one. In fact, I gotta ask it two times: WTF???
As you've probably heard by now, 29 tear-old NBA star Lamar Odom of the L.A. Lakers just got married (yes married, sheesh) to 25 year-old Khloe Kardashian, sister to the infamous Ray J sex tape sensation and reality TV star, Kim Kardashian. Now that alone is not exactly controversial, but what is controversial is the fact that they got married without a pre-nuptual agreement after having dated for (wait for it....wait for it....) one month. No that's not a typo. I said one month. As in four weeks. As in 30 days. Married after 30 days with no pre-nup.
This story is fraught with issues: there's the whole WTF were you thinking issue; the how long do you really need to know somebody before you get married issue; the pre-nup issue; oh and lest we not be thorough, there's always the whole famous black athlete marries a white girl issue.
Who dived off the deep end more here - Odoms or Khloe? And to the larger issue, how do you feel about (1) pre-nups and (2) how long do people need to know each other before they get married?
