Dreams From My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance
We appreciate those of you who have been writing in about what you'd like to see on the Blog. From the moment we started this blog we've consistently received suggestions to do a monthly book discussion, so we figured it's about time to stop dragging our feet and give the people what they want. What better place to start than with our own President's first memoir "Dreams From My Father." We feel a discussion of this book, in which Obama explores his own perspective on race, will be particularly relevant given the often times heated racial dialogue that has dominated the cable news media of late.
It is notable to observe that this book was actually written by Obama years before his political career began so it should offer some interesting insights.
For the month of October, please join in the discussion on Dreams From My Father.
